Dear fellow players,
after a long weekend of shuffling cards (with talks printed on them)
and two days of re-negotiating the resulting schedule with the players
we are now able to present to you:
The Schedule
(dun dun duuuuunnn)
If you still don’t have a ticket, today’s your last chance:
Go to the presale.
Go there directly. Do not pass GO, do not wait any longer,
there will most likely no ticket sale on site.

Dear fellow players,
less than a month from now the games will begin and we’ll see each other
at MRMCD2019 in Darmstadt. The die is cast! We are excited about the high
number of thrilling and fun submissions for talks and seminars.
Many of them match this year’s motto “Parlor Games”, examples include submissions
about hacking “Magic: The Gathering” and about medieval board games.
We also have talks about modern cryptography in wireless networks, Bluetooth
and hacking machine learning algorithms. After collecting a three-digit number
of reviews we informed the submitters (check your inboxes!).
The presale will stop on August 20, 23:59.
Since we are expecting to sell every ticket in advance,
we expect that there will be no ticket sale on site.
Also, our unique MRMCD merchandising will only be available to online buyers.
MRMCD 2019 is set to take place on the second weekend of September
(September 13–15th, 2019), and like last year we will be guests at
TU Darmstadt’s Computer Science Department in the Piloty building.

Businesses tend to show a disturbing poker face after losing the data we trusted them with. Especially after hacker
attacks, all cards should be placed on the table. Sometimes, you feel like security holes are becoming the new exclusive
collecting game – Gotta catch ‘em all.
This year’s motto, “Parlor Games” stands for the bad habits businesses and authorities have assumed when dealing with
private data worthy of protection. IT security is not a child’s game!
We’re looking forward to talk submissions regarding IT security topics of all sorts. This year, we’d be especially happy
to see submissions about hacked toys, playful ways of approaching IT education, game jams, game theory, and ludology.
Want to submit a workshop about building your own tabletop game, or carving your own playing pieces? Submit your idea
until August 4th here!
If you want to give a presentation, but are not sure if your idea is a good fit, or how to frame it in a good way, feel
free to contact us at wuerfelbecher@mrmcd.net. We’ll be happy to assist with advice
and hints. If you’ve never given a talk before, we’re especially happy to help you join the games! If you know somebody
who you’d like to see at MRMCD, please also ping us.
We, the 2019 referees are looking forward to having a look at the playing field.

Dear MRMCD fans,
we don’t want to reveal too much about this year’s event, but let us whet your appetite: We’re pleased to announce
that there will be an MRMCD this year! The motto this time is “parlor games”. Owing to a related event, we decided
to push back the date this year from our usual spot on the first weekend of September to September 13th–15th.
Stay tuned for details – we hope to see you in Darmstadt in September!
